8 Kittens Exiting Cat Carrier

A flood of cute comes out of the cat carrier! We had them in there while we vaccumed the MESS they made of the bathroom (so the vaccum wouldn't freak them out.) When I opened it up, the cute just kept coming! (These are all foster kittens - they all have stories about how they were saved. They represent 4 different litters, 3, 3, 1, and 1. All of my cats are spayed/neutered, and all of these guys will be, as well.)

catpod – outdoor cat shelter

catpod.blogspot.com Catpod is an outdoor cat shelter made from a Contico Monster Fun Storage Trunk and a Ferplast Swing 1 cat flap. Catpod is a simple solution I came up with to provide shelter for our cats in the garden because I didn't want a cat flap on the house. It's basically a 189 litre Contico Monster Fun Storage Trunk with a Ferplast Swing 1 lockable cat flap at one end. Dimensions External: L 1100 x W 510 x H 480mm Internal: L 910 x W 360 x H 420mm Capacity: 189 litre Weight: approx. 5 kg Benefits: * Easy to make. Total construction time was about 20 minutes. * Weather resistant. * The addition of the lockable Ferplast Swing 1 cat flap enables the shelter to be used as a secure cat carrier / transporter. Ventilation is achieved through vents under the handle recesses of the box. * The Contico box has a moulded base which lifts it off the ground for additional insulation and a secure snap-fit lid. The box is also tough, light weight, easy to move with the handles, easy the access with the removable lid, easy to clean (you could use a hosepipe), and the all-plastic construction requires no painting. I chose the blue and red boxes because I thought they were pretty groovy. I've also seen them in all black, all green, all grey and black bodies with yellow lids. Peggy's catpod has been in the garden for over 18 months. It's still in excellent condition. The colour hasn't even faded! Photos - www.flickr.com

Has anyone ever taken their cat on a plane before?

I know you have to have one of those pet carriers, but I am a little nervous about handing him over to some stranger when I get to the airport. If you have flown with a pet before, please tell me what the guidelines are and if everything went ok.

Best way to comfort older kitten with new adult female cat?

Adopted a spayed/neutered, indoor only purebred cat on Sunday, July 9th after previous owner had allergies and unfavorable environment to care of cat. Following book advice:
1.) Adult cat has her own room as her safe house.
When she is comfortable she roams around house during
supervised times. She is more mellow than my older kitten,
sniffs areas where kiten was, and room my kitten spends
most of her time. She has remained calm, sometimes a
new sound makes a little uneasy, making her tail twitch.
2.) Both cats have been sniffing items touched by other cat
to help adjust including my hands after a recent petting
of cats.
3.) Eventually, I will bring the kitten to the door (closed) where the
cat uses as her territory and safe house.
4.) After a positive interaction, will eventually show adult cat in
her transport carrier to kitten. Where should be held in the
house?
Anyone have any experience with calming
agents such as lavender, clover, Feliway, etc...?
Any recommend music to have playing when I am not around? Thank you!
